I LOOOOve Doing Nothing!

My favorite thing of all is to do nothing at all. I do nothing all the time: I walk nowhere, I think about nothing, I work on nothing. No, I have not turned into a nihilist. I simply chose to live my life for the unexpected, not the expected.

In set theory and other branches of math, nothing is often very similar or equal to everything. That’s the sort of nothing I like to do. Doing nothing is the same as doing anything that strikes your fancy, or not. Doing nothing is getting a crazy idea, then forgetting it. Ne rien faire est en train de parler en français pour aucune raison. Doing nothing is writing letters to yourself in the future. Doing nothing is pulling a random book off the shelf and reading 3½ paragraphs on page 27. Most of all, doing nothing is listening to all things you can’t hear:

Does Your Breath Stink?

Have you ever waked up in the morning and had bad breath? Have you ever tried to talk to someone and they moved away from you because of your breath? In medical terms, bad breath is called halitosis. There are many things that can contribute to halitosis. Including the things you eat and some of your body’s normal processes. According to the American Dental Association, there are ways to cause and get rid of bad breath.

Eating foods with garlic or onions tend to have an effect on bad breath. When we consume food it is taken into the bloodstream. The blood that runs through the body will come to the lungs where air is exhaled. The air exhaled will have a similar odor to what was previously eaten. Am I A Dumbass?

I’m 33. But in smart money years, I’m like maybe nine months old.

I spent A LOT of time blowing money, getting in debt and pretty much screwing the pooch when it came to saving/investing. Hindsight is 20/20, but I really wish I’d been smarter during my 20s. I’d probably at least have a house. At least, I’m now out of debt and on the path to savings.

Feeling Better And Better Each Day

Sixteen full weeks of being on the diet. I never ever thought I’d get this far, have this type of response, and this type of personal success. I encourage anyone that has been thinking about starting a diet to do so, going in with the frame of mind that losing weight is not an extremely quick and painless process, but rather that you will need to change your habits for the rest of your life in order to succeed.

That being said, lets get to the weigh in. Last week I weighed in at 188.4 pounds, this week I am at 185.6 pounds for a loss of 2.8 pounds for the week and an overall loss of exactly 40 pounds!

Japan Was Totally Great! Just Returned

Many of you knew, some didn’t know, I went to Japan from July 15th to August 15th. During one full month, I had to speak Japanese, and live in the Japanese way.

I could stay in a guest house in ?miya, Saitama, and also spent one week in Osaka (during which I could go to Kyoto).

Crap Happens Right? You Gotta Do What You Gotta Do.

As part of the buzz generated by the (should I say Official?) release of the “Voices of the Olympic Games” site there was a certain post that caught my eye as well as the attention of others at Lenovo, Ogilvy and Intel.

That single statement should be enough to corroborate the validity of the article I’m talking about: Why the Social Media World NEEDS to Understand SEO, by Jennifer Laycock (Editor of the Search Engine Guide).

Jennifer basically tears the “Voices” site apart from a SEO perspective. And that is a good thing. We’ve learnt some things about it, made some changes and hopefully have created a better user experience thanks to that.
